This Post is Old!

The post you are reading is years old and may not represent my current views. I started blogging around the time I first began to study philosophy, age 17. In my view, the point of philosophy is to expose our beliefs to rational scrutiny so we can revise them and get better beliefs that are more likely to be true. That's what I've been up to all these years, and this blog has been part of that process. For my latest thoughts, please see the front page.

Christian Carnival XCVIII

Christian Carnival XCVIII is up with a link to my recent post, "Can The New Testament Be Both Influenced By Plato and Inspired by God?" There were an unprecedented number of entries this time (44, I'm told) on a variety of subjects. Check it out.

44 isn't really unprecedented. For a while it was regularly in the 50s, and I believe it went into the 60s a few times. That was when I stopped hosting. It was just getting ridiculous. I'm not entirely sure why it dropped off and has begun to pick up again. In the very beginning, we were lucky to get over 20, so we were very happy when we got over 30, but once it got into the 40s I got very reluctant to want to put as much work into it as that would require to live up to some of my past hostings.
