This Post is Old!

The post you are reading is years old and may not represent my current views. I started blogging around the time I first began to study philosophy, age 17. In my view, the point of philosophy is to expose our beliefs to rational scrutiny so we can revise them and get better beliefs that are more likely to be true. That's what I've been up to all these years, and this blog has been part of that process. For my latest thoughts, please see the front page.

This Just In:

From korn.com, via Wesley Blog:

"KORN has parted ways with guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch, who has chosen the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end. Korn respects Brian's wishes and hopes he finds the happiness he is searching for."

I don't have much to add, except that this is extremely awesome and, while I don't know Korn's music, I am excited at the prospect of a well-established talent coming onto the Christian metal scene (although his band will never be better than Disciple, but who is?). Good stuff.

(A brief unrelated note: I apologize for the lack of posts. I have been short on time due to rehearsals for the Underground Shakespeare Company's production of The Winter's Tale, which opens tomorrow night. I hope to begin posting again within the next week or two.)

Update (2/24): WorldMag Blog has also picked up the story.
